turned earth little lenormand

several months ago, marian spurgeon approached me with the opportunity to design a 36 card little lenormand divination deck. the deck was to be set in the midwest, with a folk horror sensibility.

my work on smaller totems had me more than prepared for the horror vibe and my midwest roots run deep into indiana soil.

i decided to generate an internal narrative. each card’s central image would be a part of the story of a person returning to his ancestral home to bury his mother’s ashes and parents rings in his father’s grave. the semi-autobiographical “turned earth little lenormand” was born.

the design is finished and i am beyond excited to see it in print.
